Warranty Cover Levels
Warranty Solutions Group offers three levels of cover. Platinum and Gold cover around 6,000 parts including many items that are often excluded elsewhere, while Silver is tailored for older or higher mileage vehicles and covers a defined list of components.
Platinum cover for the highest level of protection, including wear and tear cover up to 100,000 miles.
Gold cover with broad protection across a huge range of major vehicle components.
Silver cover created for older or higher mileage vehicles with listed component cover.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does my car warranty cover?
With WSG, your vehicle is covered for a wide range of parts and the labour times involved to repair or replace them. Platinum and Gold cover around 6,000 mechanical, electrical and electronic components, while Silver is a listed-component plan suited to older or higher mileage vehicles.
What is not covered?
Items such as bodywork, trim, general maintenance and routine service items are not covered. Platinum and Gold are exclusion-based plans, so anything not listed as an exclusion is covered. Silver lists the covered items, so anything not shown is excluded.
What happens if my car exceeds the age or mileage parameters?
The age and mileage criteria apply at the warranty start date only. If the vehicle exceeds those limits during the term, the cover continues for the remainder of the policy. On Platinum plans, wear and tear cover ends once the vehicle reaches 100,000 miles, but the rest of the cover remains in place.
How many claims can I make?
You can make unlimited claims, with each claim including parts, labour and VAT up to your chosen claim limit and the current market value of the vehicle at the time of claim.
How do I make a claim?
Before any work is carried out, the claims team must be contacted on 0800 060 8610 so an authorisation code can be issued to the repairing garage. Repairs completed without authorisation cannot be paid.
Do I need to use one of their garages?
In most cases, you can choose between WSG's repairer network and your own garage. If you use your own garage, any labour charges above WSG's set rate may be your responsibility and reimbursement may be made after the invoice and supporting documents are received.
Can my warranty differ from the standard plans?
Some dealers offer customised products, so your cover may differ slightly from the standard WSG plans. Please contact O'Loughlin Bros if you would like us to explain the protection available on a specific vehicle.
